The Sun Will Rise (The Brilliance)
The sun will rise, the sun will rise;
Bringing life to the earth
As it springs from the ground
The sun will rise, The sun will rise
Won’t you dry all your tears
Lay your burdens down
It’s officially the rainy season in the Philippines already. The past five days has been gloomy with occassional rain drizzles and thunderstorms.
I don’t know but the weather seem to have a huge effect on my mood. With all the stresses I am currently dealing with in both my professional and personal life, the weather seem to be an appropriate backdrop for all my melodramatic moments.
Then it occured me…
Here I am again. Stubborn as ever. Carrying all these burdens on my own.
When was the last time I did lay my burdens down?
I was reminded today that the rain will not last forever. The sun will soon rise. And I won’t have to carry my problems all by myself. Help is within reach. All I have to do is to lay these burdens down, wipe my tears aways, chin up and continue on.
After all, the rain doesn’t always have to be for melodramatic moments only.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Matthew 11:28-30, NIV)
